Prof. Dr. Torsten Reuschel

University of New Brunswick

Torsten Reuschel is an assistant professor at the University of New Brunswick (UNB) in Fredericton, NB, Canada, as of 2025. Prior to this, he led high-frequency systems engineering at UNB's Radio and Space Physics Laboratory, developing and maintaining remote sensing instrumentation for operations in the Canadian Arctic. From 2018 to 2021, he was with the Automotive Electronics division of the Robert Bosch GmbH, developing modeling and simulation methods for assessing electromagnetic compatibility of advanced electronic control units and high-speed digital automotive communication. His current interests include electronics in remote and adverse surroundings, design of radio measurement instrumentation, and combined analysis of signal integrity and electromagnetic wave propagation in high-speed digital systems.

Torsten holds a B.Sc. degree in general engineering sciences, a M.Sc. degree (Hons.) in electrical engineering, and a doctorate degree in electrical engineering from the Hamburg University of Technology (TUHH) after studies at TUHH and the University of Waterloo, ON, Canada.
