Studying electronics engineering for applied science in Dortmund and finishing in year 2000 brought me quickly to the passive components industry to help design engineers to understand technology differences and how to improve electronic designs. Recognizing different capacitor technologies for changing application environment is crucial to avoid the ´grandfather´ design trap and kept me busy for almost 20 years. In 2018 I switched my main focus not only to magnetic components and sensors but also from the technical sales side to product management and acting as an interface between customers increasing application demand and corporate product development initiatives. Every megatrend and also progress with existing technologies involves high attention for passive component development to make improvements possible. Today I enjoy to work with customers, my team and an excellent engineering team to enhance future component performance to enable further industry progress.
