Lecture Description:

High-level design provides a revolutionary opportunity to tame design complexity, modernize development processes, increase time-to-market and reduce costs in FPGA and ASIC design. As related technologies mature and new domains like AI/ML skyrocket, high-level design has started to take many shapes and forms, from generic software languages, through model-driven engineering approaches, to novel domain-specific frameworks. How is high-level design evolving and where is it going? I’ll briefly remember the past, depict the present, and dare to predict what to expect in the years to come in the topic of high-level design.
